My intention in every treatment is to hold space for an individual to come into their own experience and to heal themselves. I believe that the body is the true healer because it holds its highest wisdom and that I am a conduit and enabler for that work. I practice integrative massage with a focus on myofascial release, core synchronism and general Swedish practices, which I find allow for relaxation and release on deeper levels than.
Lauren Moore LMT, NTS
Lauren is a Licensed Massage Therapist (NM #8720), Natural Therapeutics Specialist, and Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Instructor. Lauren graduated from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Languages and a minor in Philosophy before attending the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics, where she now practices. Her studies at UNM have influenced her bodywork by drawing connections between the many subjects she is passionate about and putting those passions into practice through the Healing Arts. Lauren believes that the Healing Arts are a union between philosophy, language, and creativity, where each modality, its history, and philosophy, are a new way to communicate with the body.
When we communicate effectively, we allow an opportunity for healing, so start a conversation with your body and notice the changes.
After lifelong struggles with her health and several health crises that left Western Medical practitioners stumped, Lauren found her way to the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics and Holistic Healthcare. She had tried natural and holistic therapeutics before and experienced great benefits, but never on the scale and with the urgency that she did when coming to the school. She began her journey of natural healing that gave her clarity and empowerment, knowing that she didn't have to live with the health problems she had thought were just a part of her. She learned that she has the ability to know herself and to heal herself.
Lauren aims to help others find this same empowerment and knowing, wherever they are on their healing journeys, and to hold space for them there. Through bodywork, she hopes to bring others into a state of relaxation so that they may start a conversation with their bodies, just as she was helped to, and to unfold the path to health that is best for them.
