January 2024 Update

Beginning January 1, 2024, we will be making changes to the cancelation and no-show policy. All clients will be asked to sign a hard copy of the updated policy and agreement. New clients will be asked to fill it out online as well as in-person for their first appointment. Any paperwork that has not been filled out online will need to be filled out in-person before your appointment. Please plan ahead and either fill out the intake forms and policy agreements online before your appointment or arrive 5 to 10 minutes early so as not to cut into your treatment time. Intake forms MUST be filled out before or at the start of your appointment or we will not work with you.

All no shows and late cancels will be charged the 100% or 50% fee as stated in the policy and signed on in the agreement, either by card on file used to book the appointment, by invoice, or by cash, check, Venmo or other accepted and agreed-upon form before any future services are rendered. Exceptions to this will only be made in extreme cases and at the therapit’s discretion. Your appointment is your responsibility. If you do not receive a confirmation email after shceduling and have checked your spam folder, then your appointment is not scheduled. Please put your appointment in your calendar. You should receive a reminder email and/or SMS text up to 48 hours before your appointment. The therapist will not personally text you a reminder so please plan your own reminders accordingly as the system automated reminders are only a courtesy. If this is an issue for you, please email lmoore@synaestheticbodywork.com and we will work with you to find a solution that works for everybody. Please see our policies and FAQ page to familiarize yourself with our studio policies (which you can also find when booking an appointment online) and reach out with any questions you may have.

We ask that you arrive no more than 15 minutes before your appointment time as we may still be with another client. You are welcome to wait and enjoy a cup of tea at Lost Cultures Tea Bar around the corner if you find yourself earlier than 15 minutes.

If you reschedule one appointment more than 3 times, we may place a hold on your account from future bookings. This is to ensure that you are serious about coming in for a treatment and to make sure that appointment times are available for those who wish to book and come in. We understand there are always unexpected circumstances that happen, but it can be difficult to plan and offer other clients times when an appointment is consistently rescheduled.

If you no-show or late cancel more than twice, we will place a hold on your account from future bookings and will communicate with you about the issue.

These policies are in place to ensure the best quality service for you and our other clients, as well as for the therapist. We understand that life happens and there are exceptions and will be as accommodating as possible with your needs, but please also remember that no-shows and late-cancelations affect the livelihood of the therapist, operation of the business, and prevent other clients who would like to come in from booking that time. We appreciate your understanding and are happy to discuss any of these policies with you if needed. Please also note that you are welcome to reach out at any time via text (late night texts are fine) with questions about your appointment or scheduling.

Thank you so very much for your understanding and continued support. We are grateful to be able to provide the quality of service you know us for and look forward to continuing to do so in 2024!

With Gratitude,

Lauren, owner of Synaesthetic Bodywork
